about

Chipsurf Pipeline is our first album, and in terms of firsts, is centers around a new genre we have coined called Chipsurf. Chipsurf is the fusion of chiptunes (the bleepy bloops that came out of the sound-chips from vintage gaming systems, such as the NES, Commodore 64 and the like) and surf along the likes of Dick Dale.

The album itself tries to describe a story not unlike the stories found in many of the popular NES titles. Found within are happy fun songs, such as Level Grindin'; as well as deeply emotional, such as Yakuza and things in-between.

We would like to thank all our fans, friends, and family for helping make this possible! Special thanks to our wives, Keira Quarles and Corey Soderstrom, and children Ella Quarles and Camden Soderstrom, for putting up with all our, often loud and usually obnoxious, band practices! Thanks also to Johan Kotlinski for LSDJ, jsr for Famitracker, Kitsch-Bent, Warren Young and Chu Moy for the CMoy Headphone Amp Design and Documentation.

Credit to Tom Jenkins for naming our song, Riptide Resistor, as the winner of the name our song contest.
