Crowd Kontrol - Demo

This is the first track we wrote for our upcoming 4th album, representing a darker pivot from Alien Me and into a somewhat industrial direction while keeping with some of the sound. It is also a bit of catharsis for us given the state of things from earlier this year.

Fellow musicians might enjoy knowing we opted to run our digital master out to a Type 1 cassette tape - on purpose! It gave us the sound we were wanting that we were not able to get using other means. That also made it a lot of fun!

Likewise, for this album, being both inspired by industrial and synth-wave concepts, we decided to try integrating Renoise (a modern tracker) into our compositional process. It handles a lot of the sampled instruments (including some rather old school ones from Tim's treasure trove of Impulse Tracker samples) as well as most of the MIDI control for our synthesizers. The result is an, intentionally, more tracker-like sound.
